Material: Quaternary aeolian sands and river gravels of the Divoká Orlice River
Gravel extraction began in the 1920s and has been going on ever since. With the construction of houses, the scale of extraction increased. Mined areas are gradually reforested mainly with pine trees. There are fragments of windblown sand, disturbed sandy roadsides, pine forests and drainage channels in various stages of vegetation development.

Planted pine forests: albinotic form of the Slippery Jack (Suillus luteus f. albus), Orange Webcap (Cortinarius mucosus), Herald of Winter (Hygrophorus hypothejus), False Morel (Gyromitra esculenta)

Sand-loving species: Field Cudweed (Filago arvensis), Small Cudweed (Filago minima), Pearlwort Spurrey (Spergula morisonii), Breckland Garden (Thymus serpyllum), Shepherd's Cress (Teesdalia nudicaulis), Rare Spring-sedge (Carex ericetorum), Grey Hair-grass (Corynephorus canescens), Dillenius' Speedwell (Veronica dillenii), Chamomile Grape-fern (Botrychium matricariifolium; protected fern, rediscovered in the area after almost 80 years)
